Where did you get the idea for your business?
I have always loved to be creative and make others happy. In 2012, I worked in a shared office space and one of my co-workers needed a cake for her son, and the rest is history! Word spread quickly about the level of detail and customization I could create and orders started coming in. I’ve taught myself new recipes and design techniques over the years to stay on forefront of trends in the cake world.
What do you like about being part of Aviatra and the LAUNCH program?
I’m thrilled to be surrounded by the strong and successful women in Aviatra and the like-minded ladies in the LAUNCH program. The speakers for this program have really helped me expand the foundation I’ve laid for my business and I’m so thankful for these resources. I really enjoy brainstorming with the group on the visions we have for our businesses and the impact we can have on the community.
What are you learning?
I’m learning a lot about the financial side of business and the ways I need to structure myself for growth and long-term success.
What are your most popular treats?
The most popular treats I carry at my weekly Pop-Up Shops are the Oreo Cheesecake Brownies, Salted Caramel Toffee Cookie pies, and the Wedding Cake Macarons. My most popular classic cake design is the Ombre Rose Cake, and for custom orders, the Unicorn Cake is always a hit!
