Our Name
When choosing our name, we were inspired by words and phrases that spoke of uplifting and soaring: wind beneath my wings, launch, take off, kept me in the air. This brand theme came alive with the name “Aviatra,” a combination of the Latin words for bird (avis) and open to the sky (atria). It's pronounced similar to "aviation."
Aviatra embodies the spirit of women aviators like Amelia Earhart and Women Air Force Service Pilots who served during World War II, always depending on each other in cohorts.
As they did then, Aviatra supports the upward trajectory of our entrepreneurs, while creating an inclusive community.
